Let’s start with the subtleties of Gravy sauce before we start with our recipe. You can place this delicious sauce in the turkey if you wish. Alternatively, you can present it next to the plate.
Ingredients for gravy sauce:
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 4 tablespoons of flour
- 1 glass of turkey water (you can use the water of the turkey that you prepared in the oven)
- 8-10 pieces of black pepper
Preparation of gravy sauce:
Melt the butter in a nonstick high-sided sauce pan, put on low heat. Start roasting, add black pepper and onion. Continue roasting, stirring over low heat and mix them until the smell comes out. Don’t forget that the flour should not burn while braising it. You should mix it regularly on low heat. If the flour get stuck in the bottom of the pan, you can continue the process by scraping it with a wooden spatula
When the flour gets a little brown color, add the meat–chicken broth mixture slowly and mix it well. Add the salt and stir on a low heat to simmer. By the way if you want your sauce to be more fluid, you can increase the amount of meat-chicken broth a little more and add it to the sauce a few time if necessary. When your sauce get the desired consistency, remove it from the fire and filter it through a wire.
